Ceremony + Officiant Services

All Dearly Ceremony Packages include Justice of the Peace / filing services. Read on for more information regarding JP services for your larger wedding.

  • Think of your ceremony as the marriage part of your wedding day. It should be wholly reflective of you. So how come so many weddings feel like a lecture?

    I created Dearly Studio to celebrate BIG FEELING. I’d love to bring the same relaxed, inclusive, and fun approach to your wedding, even if your “big day” is bigger than our little chapel can hold (which is 15-20 people, by the way).

  • Short: Our ceremonies are designed to be between 5 - 15 minutes long, depending on what inclusions you’d like. For example, if you include readings by your loved ones, personalized vows, and have a processional, you’ll likely wind up near the 15-minute mark. Just the rings and official business will put you between 3-5 – easy!

    Sweet: I want to get to know you! During the booking process, I’ll ask you to fill out a simple questionnaire about your love story. Once I have a draft ready, we can chat through any edits you both have.

    Secular: I have no religious affiliation as your JP, and I will not utilize a spiritual tone or wording in your Dearly ceremony by default. You’re of course welcome to bring pieces of your faith to the ceremony script if you wish. This process is designed to be collaborative (see above – sweet!)

  • I think wedding pricing should always be transparent, and booking processes should be as straightforward as possible. Dearly’s bespoke ceremony services generally range from $400 - $1200. Fill out the form below to receive a quote.

    Pricing is inclusive of the MA regulated fees of $100 within ($150 outside of) JP’s town of residence. Additional costs reflect a number of factors, including customization, meetings, travel and time on-site, any rehearsals if desired, and/or revisions to your ceremony script.

  • Folks often find their officiant after booking all their larger wedding details, but if you’ve landed on this page early in your planning process, let us know! We have great working relationships with a wide array of vendors, from planners to florists and everyone in between.

  • Currently, Dearly Studio is a new business, focused on growth. We prioritize on-site Dearly weddings during busier seasons and as such only book off-site ceremony services six or less months in advance.

Hi, I’m Jusmine Martin (pronounced ‘Juss-men’), owner of Dearly Studio and Justice of the Peace in Somerville, MA. That’s me in the middle there, officiating an extremely fun surprise wedding.
