Frequently Asked Questions

A โmicro weddingโ often refers to weddings with less than 20 guests present. Some say less than 50. Like most things wedding-related, itโs subjective.
An elopement usually includes the couple and potentially a few witnesses. Small weddings, again, are relative! An 80-person wedding is large to some, but small compared to a 300-person affair. Donโt let yourself get caught up with semantics. You can call a Dearly wedding whatever youโd like. Itโs designed to be nothing other than yours.
At Dearly, we feel thereโs only one โwrongโ way to get married, and thatโs with a wedding day that doesnโt truly reflect you as a couple. So do it up, whatever the reason. Make it yours! And if Dearly Studio sounds like your style, letโs chat.

Champagne or other alcohol: No!
-
Yes! We provide officiant services as part of every package, but you are welcome to have a friend or family member solemnize your marriage instead (pricing remains the same). Either way, youโll need to apply for your marriage license prior to your ceremony and bring it with you on the day. You can find more information in the mass.gov guide to Getting Married in Massachusetts.

Our $300 Quickie package is only available mid week, Tuesday-Thursday. Think of it like a courthouse booking.
If 30 minutes feels right for your celebration, but youโd like to get married outside of typical work hours, keep your eye out for:
our Viva Las Dearly package, offered once a month on a Friday
special event offerings, such as Valentineโs Day or Halloween.
-
We can take this show on the road! Ask our recs for the perfect party spot or contact us about officiating your ceremony elsewhere. We even have a partnership with our pals around the corner at Juliet if you donโt want to miss out on Dearly photos.
-
Our little corner of Bow Market is a licensed space! We include a toast in our One + Only package, and you may run a bar tab for longer events featuring a wider selection of natural wine and craft beer. You may also purchase champagne for your Quickie or Viva Las Dearly ceremony! BYO alcohol is not permitted.
-
Yes! We accept other small events on a case-by-case basis, pending availability. Hereโs an incomplete list of things we feel Dearly would be perfect for: small private dinner parties, photoshoots, or (our personal fave) PROPOSALS. (More info here)
-
Absolutely. The booking process is the same for vow renewals/commitment ceremonies and weddings.
-
Youโre welcome to hire your own preferred photographer or videographer to capture your day or BYO device/video chat set up. Remember to factor in set up time if you need it!
-
Dearly is brought to you by me, Jusmine Martin (pronounced like โJussmenโ) โ hi!
-
Sorry, had to sneak that one in there. Dearly is built to provide an elegant alternative to a Boston courthouse or Vegas chapel, at a price that wonโt leave you sticker shocked.
